If you're counting the days until your grocery money lands, the answer depends on where you live.

The USDA publishes a schedule that was established by each state, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Is There One Payment Date?

No, there isn't a single nationwide date for November.

Alaska, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Vermont all make benefits available on the 1st of every month.

New Hampshire uses the 5th and South Dakota the 10th.

Every other state staggers deposits over a window of several days to several weeks.

How to Find Your Exact Date

You have a few easy options:

Did Benefits Go Up for November?

Not in November, but a new benefit year did start recently.

The USDA's fiscal year 2027 cost-of-living adjustments took effect on October 1, 2026, and run through September 30, 2027.

Here are the new maximums for the 48 states and D.C.:

  • One person: up from $298 to $306 per month.
  • Family of four: up to $1,023, which is $29 more than the previous $994.
  • Eight people: up to $1,841.

Hawaii is the exception.

Its maximum for a four-person household drops slightly, to $1,655 from $1,689.

Don't Expect Your Payment to Jump

These figures are ceilings, not guarantees.

Recipients shouldn't necessarily expect their monthly payment to rise to the maximum.

The USDA calculates your actual allotment partly from your net income.

Under the July 2025 federal law, the USDA can't raise benefits again until October 1, 2027 at the earliest.

Work Requirements Still Apply

Staying eligible matters as much as knowing your date.

Adults in a SNAP household with children ages 14 to 17 are now subject to the time limit unless they meet another exception.

State agencies must also notify people ages 55 to 64 that they are now subject to the time limit.

People ages 60 to 64 remain exempt from the general work requirements.

If this applies to you, contact your state agency about reporting your hours.

Bottom Line

Your November SNAP date is set by your state, and it's probably the same one you've had for months.

When in doubt, check your state's official SNAP portal.
